Lonni Clarke
Lonni Clark has had an equal fascination with horses and drawing dating to her earliest memories. A renowned and gifted figure painter and portraitist, Lonni’s work can be found in many illustrious collections, including that of Polo/Ralph Lauren her largest single collector with paintings in Mr. Lauren’s office and multiple stores including a monumental portrait of a polo player hanging in the staircase of the Beverly Hills store. Her work has also appeared on the television sets of CBS.
Lonni’s work enjoys its greatest influence from the life she has led, whether walking the halls of the Louvre re-imagining every brush stroke, or the rails of Santa Anita painting her lifelong obsession horses. She also nods to veteran illustrator Rex John Irvine, the Art Center College of Design’s Dan McCaw, Larry Carroll and the late, great Richard Bunkall.
Lonni lives with four borzois and one Australian cattle dog in St. George, Utah. After having given away her last horse, the infamous Tilly the Hun, she is shopping for a nice thoroughbred mare.
